DAYS
All those
Saturday people
Keep on
telling me
That my
Monday won't be
What I
expect it to be.
All I have
is an open mind
With a
heart trying to match
I live
with no expectations
I live
before the fact.
So take
your Saturdays
Then crawl
back to your caves
I'll live
through Thursday night
And see
you in a couple of days.
All I have
is an open mind
With a
heart trying to match
I live
with no expectations
I live
before the fact.
I keep trying
to tell myself
That she
loves me.
I don't
want to remember
The miles
between.
It seems
like our time
Won't ever
come
And the
miles and time don't help.
I keep
trying
To make
my lonely days right.
I dread
entering
Into those
long dark nights.
There must
be another way
To share
our music
Together.
DOVE
All my days
are leafy blue
Because
I'm not with you.
All my
words are ragged steel
When I'm
not with you.
See how
the sun shines
Like an
arc where you walk.
All my
fears are water clear
When I'm
not with you.
All I hear
is wicked clear
When I'm
not with you.
RAIN
You didn't
hear the rain
Walking
across my roof
In the
morning.
You didn't
see the dark clouds
Drift by
my window
Before
the late dawn.
You didn't
share the early hours
With me
in bed again.
You just
weren't there girl.
Nowhere
around
Empty
Quiet
Stillness
And the
rain.
TO DREAM
When I think
of all the dreams
I have
imagined through time
I have
yet to see a broken one
Or forgotten
some of mine
I have
run into corners
The joining
of two walls
Listened
to the cool talk
And argued
shouting calls
But my
dreams hold fast
Like the
necessary word rhyme
I'm determined
to live them
For whatever
length of time
