MUSIC 2
Big
plush purple chairs
Seem
to sink down below sight
And
the music surrounds me
Like
the smoked incense
Through
my head.
The
grin becomes a broad smile
And
all the while
Feet
thump and fingers tap
All
through the night.
SILVER SAND
Do
you remember
Where
it all began
Back
long ago
In
past time.
You
know
It
still seems
Like
yesterday.
Through
city dreams
I
can still recall
You
and me
Against
the sea.
And
the secret night calls
Silver
sands.
THRESHOLD
Deep
in the sidewalk's crack
Where
glimmering pools
Of
smokey hazed lamps burn
I
pass by.
See
that red lamp post
With
the gas hissing aura
Enveloping
the night around.
Making
my way to the door
That
opens across the crazed
Grass
split cemented gravel
I
pause at the stoop.
Weather
worn worm wooded darkened
by
well worn knocks hails
My
call to those within.
I
have returned to my abode.
This
darkened door did creak
With
straining wood from split
To
hinge the unyielding span
Of
light.
The
ever widening hazy candle
Light
sprang from the darkened
Night
into my eyes.
The
step down within was
Quite
familiar
And
the fresh feeling seemed
To
overwhelm me as I paused
On
the threshold
Of
space.
CONTACT
The
carnival dogs awoke
As
Night rose in her west
The
beasts could be heard
Moving
through the caves
The
eyes were around
Piercing
visions
In
stillness
The
city began
To
breathe
Swelling
sidewalk hunters
Territorial
corners
And
terrible prowling Engines
To
wrestle in the Night
Somewhere
near
A
flash of blue
Cloth
Contact
Skin
Money
Yes
Gone
The
Engines returned
Sidewalks
continued
Constant
Night
HELLO
Hello
fine lady
Free
as night
Dance
around me
Sure
of your steps
But
follow me home
