Our Greatest President

"You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.
You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
You cannot help the wage earner by pulling down the wage payer.
You cannot further the brotherhood of man by encouraging class hatred.
You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.
You cannot build character and courage by taking away man's initiative and incentive.
You cannot help men permanently by doing for them what they should do for themselves."
William John Henry Boetcker on Abraham Lincoln

In my opinion Abraham Lincoln was our greatest President.

Consider this fact: Both George W. Bush and Barack Obama, two Presidents with diverse political views, have said repeatedly that they have drawn inspiration from the words and actions of Abraham Lincoln.

If Abraham Lincoln can inspire these two Presidents, then is there a message for all of us today, that all Americans can draw from this man, this president who saved the Union?

Yes.

Consider this:

We are constantly reminded to "Celebrate Diversity".

I believe we should stop celebrating, roll up our sleeves, and "Work Towards Unity".

Yes, it is true that Diversity does make America Strong.

But Unity makes America Invincible.
